Whole Wheat Pancakes are wonderfully fluffy and taste great! If you don’t have buttermilk in the house, you can use 1 cup milk + 1 tablespoon vinegar instead. Great with maple syrup or blueberry sauce!

Note: If you're not using buttermilk, add 1 tablespoon vinegar to 1 cup milk and allow to sit a few minutes to curdle. Combine dry ingredients.
Add melted butter and egg to milk.
Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and whisk until there are no more visible streaks of flour or lumps. Don't overbeat!
Heat griddle to 375 degrees F. Butter griddle before pouring batter. Cook until browned on each side. Serve while hot.
