Combine 10 green tea bags, ginger and lemon in a 2-quart heatproof pitcher. Pour 4 cups of boiling water over the items in the pitcher.
Stir once and let tea bags steep 6 minutes. Remove and discard tea bags and ginger - a strainer makes this easier.
Add a touch of honey, mint or whatever else you would like to the tea and let it cool for 20 minutes. Add enough ice and cold water to make 6 cups. Serve over ice in glasses with lemon slices.
