This meatloaf has a glaze applied after the meatloaf has baked for 45 minutes. A glaze consisting of ketchup, mustard and brown sugar is added to the top of the meatloaf then the meatloaf is baked an additional 20-25 minutes or until done. This recipe is good with ground beef or ground turkey. A slow cooker may be used to bake the meatloaf on low heat for 4-6 hours. Add the glaze about 30 minutes before serving time.
Combine eggs, stuffing mix (or 3 slices bread torn into pieces), milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, Montreal steak seasoning in a large mixing bowl, mixing well. (I use the mixer to do this but your hands work too)
Add ground meat, cheese, carrots and onion. Mix well. Place mixture into a 9"x 5" loaf pan.
Bake at 350 degrees F. for 45 minutes.
Combine glaze ingredients and spoon over loaf. Bake an additional 20-25 minutes or until done.
