- Olive tapenade
Layers of tomato paste, olive tapenade and shredded mozzarella cheese are placed on a sheet of puff pastry, rolled up jelly roll style, and baked. This is a delicious savory appetizer or snack!
Thaw puff pastry per package instructions. Unfold puff pastry and place flat on a work surface. Spread tomato paste over puff pastry sheet.
Spread layer of olive tapenade over tomato paste layer.
Sprinkle mozzarella cheese and chopped fresh basil over olive tapenade layer.
Roll up puff pastry sheet with filling. Slice into 10-12 slices. Bake Olive Puff Pastry Pinwheels at 400 degrees F. for 12-15 minutes, or until lightly browned.
