Kahlua Cinnamon Brownies

A wonderful brownie flavored with Kahlua, cinnamon, cocoa, chocolate chips, vanilla and brown sugar. A great treat for holidays or any day!

Note:  Strong coffee may be used in place of Kahlua, a coffee-flavored liqueur.


Ingredients

  • 1/4 Cup
    Semisweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1/4 Cup
    Butter
  • 1/4 Cup
    Kahlua
  • 2 Teaspoons
    Vanilla extract
  • 3/4 Cups
    All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/4 Cup
    Cocoa, unsweetened
  • 1 Teaspoon
    Cinnamon, ground
  • 1/4 Teaspoon
    Salt
  • 2/3 Cups
    Brown Sugar, firmly packed
  • 1
    Egg
  • Cooking Spray
  • Confectioner's Sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Combine chocolate chips and butter in a small saucepan; cook over medium-low heat until chocolate melts, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; stir in Kahlua and vanilla. Set aside

  2. Combine flour and next 4 ingredients in a small bowl; stir well and set aside. Combine brown sugar and egg in a large bowl; beat at low speed of mixer until blended.

  3. Add chocolate mixture and beat well. Add flour mixture and beat until well blended.

  4. Pour batter into an 8" square pan coated with cooking spray.

  5. Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees F. or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Remove from oven and let cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.

  6. When completely cook, remove brownies from pan and dust with confectioner's sugar. Enjoy!
