Packed with peanut butter, rolled oats, nuts, wheat germ, sesame seeds and honey this recipe makes a high energy treat – good for those times when you need a lift!


Ingredients

  • 1/2 Cup
    Sesame Seeds
  • 1/2 Cup
    Brown Sugar, packed
  • 1/2 Cup
    Honey
  • 2 Tablespoons
    Vegetable Oil
  • 1/2 Cup
    Water
  • 1 Cup
    Peanut Butter
  • 1/2 Cup
    Whole Wheat Flour
  • 2 1/2 Cups
    Rolled Oats
  • 1/2 Cup
    Wheat Germ
  • 1 1/2 Cup
    Nuts, chopped

Instructions

  1. Toast sesame seeds in a small skillet until lightly browned. Set aside.

  2. Bring brown sugar, honey, oil and water to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 2 minutes.

  3. Remove from heat. Stir in peanut butter, whole wheat flour, rolled oats, wheat germ, chopped nuts and mix thoroughly.

  4. Roll into balls the size of small walnuts; then roll them in the toasted sesame seeds.

  5. Set on plates, cover and chill in refrigerator for several hours or until they are firm.
