Packed with peanut butter, rolled oats, nuts, wheat germ, sesame seeds and honey this recipe makes a high energy treat – good for those times when you need a lift!
Toast sesame seeds in a small skillet until lightly browned. Set aside.
Bring brown sugar, honey, oil and water to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 2 minutes.
Remove from heat. Stir in peanut butter, whole wheat flour, rolled oats, wheat germ, chopped nuts and mix thoroughly.
Roll into balls the size of small walnuts; then roll them in the toasted sesame seeds.
Set on plates, cover and chill in refrigerator for several hours or until they are firm.
