- Chocolate Chips
Delicious oatmeal cookies studded with chocolate chips and chopped nuts!
Note: the original recipe used shortening; I prefer to use coconut oil but you can use shortening if that is your preference in the same amount – 1 cup.
Cream together coconut oil (or shortening) with sugars.
Add eggs and beat until well-blended. Add flour, baking soda, vanilla, oats, pecans and chocolate chips.
Drop dough by teaspoonful or small scoopful onto greased baking sheet, spacing about 1" apart.
Bake at 350 degrees F. for 12-15 minutes or until browned.
