The national dish of Hungary is a stew called Goulash.  This is a hearty stew flavored with paprika, marjoram, caraway seeds and garlic.  Three cups of onions just seem to melt into the delicious gravy.  This would be wonderful anytime but particularly on a cold winter’s night.

A lower sodium version of this recipe can be made by using low-sodium tomato paste and low sodium bouillon granules.

  • 1/2 Teaspoon
